Meet the Founder

Danielle Scott, the passionate founder of the Gabriel Micah Scott Foundation, has dedicated her life to supporting families through some of their most challenging seasons, drawing strength and vision from her own journey in the NICU with her son, Gabriel. What began as a deeply personal experience of loss has become a mission of hope, advocacy, and empowerment for families navigating the uncertainties of neonatal care. Danielle carries Gabriel’s legacy with grace, making a heartfelt promise that his name will continue to inspire and uplift others for generations to come.

Central to Danielle’s leadership is the principle of excellence, instilled in her by her mentor and Senior Pastor, Dr. Irishea Hilliard. Dr. Irishea’s example of faith-driven leadership and her insistence on operating at the highest level of purpose challenged Danielle to not only dream bigger but also to execute her vision with intentionality and impact. Danielle often credits Dr. Irishea with sharpening her ability to see ministry and community work as opportunities to embody both compassion and excellence—qualities that define the Gabriel Micah Scott Foundation’s outreach today.

Through the foundation, Danielle has championed initiatives that provide tangible support—care packages for NICU families, awareness campaigns around women’s health and NEC (necrotizing enterocolitis), and partnerships with schools and local organizations to strengthen communities. More than just meeting needs, her vision is to create spaces where families feel seen, supported, and encouraged during the most vulnerable times of their lives. In this way, the foundation stands as both a tribute to Gabriel’s life and a reflection of Danielle’s steadfast commitment to service.

Danielle’s journey reminds us that from personal pain can emerge powerful purpose. Inspired by her son and guided by mentors like Dr. Irishea, she continues to embody resilience, excellence, and love. Her story is not just about building a foundation, but about building legacy—one that bridges loss with hope, and grief with the promise of a brighter tomorrow.

Who we are

The Gabriel Micah Scott Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to standing with families during some of life’s most critical and tender moments. We are committed to providing comprehensive support for those navigating neonatal intensive care (NICU) stays, high-risk pregnancies, and the unique journey of raising children with autism.

Our mission is to empower families by addressing both practical and emotional needs. From alleviating financial burdens to offering grief counseling, resources, and community connections, we strive to create a safe space where families can find strength, hope, and understanding.

We believe that:

  • Healthcare should be accessible to all, regardless of circumstances.

  • Grief support should be available and compassionate, helping families process and heal.

  • Children with autism should be equipped with advocacy, resources, and opportunities that allow them to thrive.

At the heart of our work is a commitment to compassion, inclusivity, and lasting impact. The Gabriel Micah Scott Foundation exists to ensure no family walks through these challenges alone—we are here to uplift, support, and advocate every step of the way.

What we offer

NICU Care Packages

We uplift NICU families with essential resources, information, and emotional aid. This is for NICU families to guide them through a challenging journey with care packages filled with essentials to assist with their stay. Our dedicated team offers a nurturing space to connect, share experiences, and access tools for conquering this time. Join us in celebrating every milestone!

High-Risk Pregnancies

We provide support for women experiencing high-risk pregnancies, particularly in underserved communities with limited access to care. Through advocacy, education, and resources, we help ensure healthier outcomes for mothers and babies.

Families Raising Children with Autism

We stand with families raising children with autism by connecting them to resources, therapies, and advocacy tools. Our program equips parents to navigate healthcare and education systems while building a supportive community.

We believe in the strength of families, the power of hope, and the impact of support. Through our foundation, we aim to empower parents, uplift families, and make the NICU journey a little less overwhelming while fostering hope and healing.
